Anachronism. Is everything but a question an anachronism in a poem?

Except or but -- that is the question.

Does the cook question the season that offers up the ripe? Does the bowl object?

  1. Out of Time There

as sharp as finely honed needles unlikely to snag on doughy slate

dicey appaloosas breach trade routes by the bucketfull

and on the plains and mountaintops small birds
    pick at their bounty

what was that point of light I saw while someone undressed their children

was that meant for one of many or the crowd down by the shore?
