Light unifies

shadow.  Unifies shadow to shadow within shadow.  Especially if water is involved.

Within a hummingbird's eyesight.

What's inside your vision?  Outside, the hummingbird is at work.

A table set for one

neither lonely, nor sad.  Yes, the rockfish delicious.  Sometimes being alone is company enough.

Be patient the name will come

by morning.  Afternoon at the latest.

Even when static

flowers have a swagger and a swirl about them.  They love a bit of purple.  A tad of red.

The magical & mystical kingdom

of Ruth Asawa.  What else needs saying.  Perhaps, a homage to reflection.

Can you remember the first time

you were swept away with the brilliance of purple?  Me?  Tiny dried, tightly curled purple flowers on my Easter hat.  I was 7.  Yes, I had white gloves.  How did you know?

Where does the light

emanate to grace a surreal landscape?  Were you present or did you read about this phenomenon?  Did you touch this happening only with your eyes and not your feet?

Tell me, do these two paths lead

Hopefully

by 4PM today I will have a name for the dance of red lemons masquerading as leaves with robust stalks and a sky with a centrifugal center.  And if not, no harm has been created, only spun-off fiction.

Blue comes to mind

when I hear mellow jazz.  Percussions included.

How could such vibrancy

be snuffed out -- a year at that!  RIP Ann F. Biderman 3/8/1955-- 7/2/2023.
