The everyday miraculously beautiful.

 So glad I showed up.

Precisely

the sun's love of a well loved kitchen.  May every refrigerator be a liquid landscape.

Roots & light

And, of course, the creative third -- rocks.  Can't get enough of rocks.  Life is good as Fall is falling all around us.

About as cute

as a bowl of persimmons.
And just as much treasured.

Light, leaves, camera

Look, the ground has a Red Riding Hood cloak!

Fall at home

Succulent nestles among fallen leaves while the 2 cats nestle in their dreaming.

Empty?

Absence?   Or anticipation?

The simplest detail can delight and invigorate.

So I'm at one of my happy places -- Bancroft Succulent Garden in Walnut Creek, CA.  The light is particularly beautiful on a beautiful Fall afternoon.  One of the docents points out this succulent.  Modest.  "'This is the first succulent Ruth Bancroft planted in her garden 50 years ago.   She was frugal." Of course, the succulent above is not one of Ruth's originals, but it is the exact type the Great Genius Ruth planted.  I was jazzed all day.

Nothing is completely abstract

not even moods.  For instance, indigo.  Can you hear the bass?

Still

in the midst of ripples.  Sounds like life, doesn't it.  So wondrous to have my totem animal in our midst.

Is music ever stilled?

This is for sure -- music & cooking are kin.  Both are all about color & textures & shapes.
