In a different situation
this would be called honey. But "sap" is such a fine word, don't you think? To the point and almost graphic. By the way, when was the last time you used honey (and not in tea)? For me roasted Brussels sprouts with miso and honey. Not to be missed. P.S. I also love the word "sprouts." Right up there with "sap."
