Imagine there are no figs in the world -- now in 3 words how would this impact poetry?

Perhaps, no poetry.

Or perhaps, poetry would go underground.
Fallow for a time.
Yet, the voice (or fruit) can't be squelched nor made extinct.
Will resurface when the time, the need arrive.

    This melancholy arose in the daughter's heart
    when her companion could not be with her
    and the extra emptiness of her father's mystery
    seemed to haunt the daughter's morning

    Where could they all be, these wandering beings?
    Sent out on an errand to find who sent the letter
    they had become the last layer of exasperation
    She began to resent the entire enterprise, again
