Upended

Liking has little to do with understanding

Sometimes what it is escapes utterance.  I can enjoy seeing what’s in front of me, sans language.

Light playing hide and seek

Which comes first, hide or seek?  Are they inextricable?  For sure, trees need light, and I think a tree is a lovely home for light.

One or two words

Often suffice —monumental, cold.  Sometime a third is necessary:  jagged.  When was the last time you enjoyed a monumental, cold, jagged meal.  Did it include an amount of ice cream?

A day never lacks color

A landscape never devoid of perspective. Somewhere a crow keeps this all honest.

The alchemy of reflection

Reflections fascinates me.  I sip coffee inside at dusk and suddenly the cafe lights are orbs hanging from the trees' calligraphic branches.  What is being illuminated?  What is being said?  What elements of physics are inspiring me?  Who do I thank?
