Often the interesting detail

is closer to the margin. Can you hear the song?

Earlier and briefer

than the last several years.  The hills turning brown by the minute.  I wonder what today's rain might reverse?

Imagine a world of monotone

turkeys.  How sad would that be?

Peeling beauty

A mailbox may become a thing of the past like the penny.  However, this one painted blue and rusted is a beauty.  Still being used, too.  Age has intrinsic allure.

Light is the ever present trickster

Look what light just did to a poppy?  I'm sure the poppy was totally unaware.

Light will find a bird in flight whenever she can.  Ready for take-off.

Whether metal, real or imaginary,

a bird taking flight is worthy of witness.  Who else is?

Never out of season

What's not to love about a purple iris, especially when blooming in late January and a bevy of them by mid-February.  Remember, look for unexpected pleasure.
