Let's let the rain settle in
before we decide on where to walk. Seems the landscape is a bit jagged and off-color this afternoon.
Earlier and briefer
than the last several years. The hills turning brown by the minute. I wonder what today's rain might reverse?

i know intuitively
rocks love to be accompanied by a cello. Listen, bow across strings; time is ticking toward 2023. Delicious rain anoints every stone and transforms hills verdant. Late morning glistens; the 2 cats sleeping. Soup for lunch and the luxury of remembering an expanding circle of friends.

You know so much already
Rain will begin in 15 minutes. It's sound, a lullaby.
It's difficult to put down such a good story even though it's a cookbook.
It's been a fragmented day full of shadow and reflection.
This feeling might go on for some time.

What is the correspondence between blogging and this much rain?
Water-saturated San Francisco is visibly greening. Slant of rain on window -- eyebrows, diacritical marks. Each room feels like a library. A consequence of rain is fragrance.
Make soup, of course. Rough-cut vegetables. Plenty of garlic. Fistfuls of spinach added just before serving. Bowlfuls. Crusty bread. Company. Conversation not about weather. Perhaps, poetry. Yes, poetry.
