Still

in the midst of ripples.  Sounds like life, doesn't it.  So wondrous to have my totem animal in our midst.  
 

Is music ever stilled?

 This is for sure -- music & cooking are kin.  Both are all about color & textures & shapes.

Trix tree

Ann's favorite tree.  She called them Trix trees (yes, after the cereal).  Looks like it would be in manzanita family but more closely related to the strawberry clan.  I think of them as sunset/sunrise trees after their brilliant red & yellow fruits.  Bell-shaped flowers like a manzanita, too.  What could be grander or more colorful to celebrate Ann.

 Just let your eye linger in the upper right hand corner.  See who that majestic, jagged red informs the blue light in the lens bubble.  Life is good.
