In Spring everything wants to bloom including paper clips

I have always welcomed Spring as it replenishes winter's farmers markets.
Carrots with robust tops perfect for chimichurri.
I have always been fascinated with paperclips, especially brightly hued.
I think of paperclips as petite fingers holding whatever you wish.
Like a line of poetry holding one word to another.  Or Spring binding bloom to stem.
Hand me some paperclips, will ya?

Chimichurri -- the word itself it a mouthful of joy

Chimichurri -- Argentinian pesto. This time with a twist and not lemon.  Made with minced carrot tops.  Olive oil, rice vinegar, dried oregano and basil, fennel seed, garlic, black pepper, salt.  Toast a slice of baguette, spread goat cheese, top with chimichuri & pomegranate seeds.  Have you noticed that color is poem.

Bread and a spread

and a star appears.  A carrot-top based chimichurri.  Perfect when the carrot greens shout "FRESH." And always, always good olive oil.  Have you noticed when a verb, a noun and a few of their friends show up on a page, a hue-ful poem might be ready to be served.  Might be ready to be savored.
