Cherry blossoms and tree knuckles

The soft, the hard, the petite, the massive.  All in a blink.  

Massive rains and headstrong wind

and yet the cherry blossoms hold tightly to their branches.  At the core of fragility is tensile strength.  
 

Spring isn't sheltering-in-place

Spring is being itself -- riotous with color, texture, shape, fragrance & attitude.  It's a good time to walk (6 feet apart), cook asparagus and other vegetal delights, and made petite poems the size of cherry blossoms.   I wonder a time when we won't immediately get the references to "sheltering-in-place" and "6 feet apart?"

Fleeting and worth their wait

Consider, the weight of cherry blossoms.  Beauty imbues weight & dimension.  A regard for seasons, too.  A cherry blossom festival around the corner & down the hill.  They will stop you in your tracks. Feel the rhythm, cadence, the memoir in their petals.  If one word could summarize: haiku.
