An evening of drama
Light on the wall and our imaginations flood with color. Just like memory. Suddenly, I wish to cook red beets. Embrace red. Embrace shadows.

Now in my 7th decade
I find myself no longer annoyed by incomplete sentences. Phrases (the shorter the better) suit me well. And should you ask, abstracts are my landscape of choice.

One among many
Not an interloper. An unexpected guest with privileges to linger. Is there a more perfect place to end-up than a bed of bearded irises? Purple, too. If you translate the imagine into taste, you would be enjoying a platter of Spring asparagus appointed with a few borage flowers. Yup, yummy. So, linger.

To really see a small part of the larger
comes with the joy of walking. And when walking in Bancroft Succulent Gardens, magic happens. Simple. Profound.

In last night's dream
one fantastical bird embraced me in her vibrant feathers. I could fly. I could name all which I couldn't name yesterday. I could twirl as girl of 12. I blinked twice and the world was kinder.

Orthography
Yet, I can't quite locate the word for this image. Perhaps, it has concealed the word in a unique grammar sweet as honeycomb.
Spring feels spiky
and at the same time circular with a wheel of purple and yellow/green at the center. The above, a descendant of Ceanothus -- that lovely wild lilac -- which my eyes & nose compete with bees. Spring is nothing short of an elixir.
Airborn splendor
and now consider sky as a welcome mat. A welcome mat for succulents, a welcome mat for our collective breaths.

Comfort in the minimal
and with joy for the lushness of grass and vetch the window frames. Let's celebrate the largess of farmer markets with their abundance of color, shape, texture. Gnarled carrots with a dusting of dirt, a given.
