Reading the headlines, is it monstrous to write a quiet poem or suggest a picnic?

Are poems ever devoid of the personal, the political, or far from food?

    Hi Kit! I added your blog to my blog reader. Thanks for sharing the link with me.

    I wrote a poem that alluded to the earthquake and felt awkward about it, but it felt relevant to the poem in some way even though the poem was about my personal angst.
