from light & dark #7 the dream erases itself

but the pillow remains, witness.  Like a spoon after all the soup has been ladled.  Like a poem whittled to 9 words.  The everyday brims with minimalist epics.

    at subject's summer house:

objects wrapped in plastic with tags on them
    a forlorn wig
lightbulb cracked with filament sticking out
small statue of an iridescent cherub with pearl garlands
    sticky old frying pan
paper lantern ripped on one end, tassels drooping
    slab of granite
    rubber bath toy, soapy
