Nestled

Among wire.
Among leaves.
Among words.

Soon, squash.
Soon, sauteed blossoms.
Soon, another season.

Soon, another notebook.
A few more pens.
One more
one less
plate.

  1. The tricky season ends and a cooler one begins--why do we feel the seasons so deeply?
Ancient ruins show the impact of time and weather.
Ancient writings and drawings on caves show beings running, being chased, honorlng the hunt, the hunger, the need for flight and flesh.
A super moon, a lunar eclipse, salt water on Mars--
who can question the spinning realities,
    our cosmic core?
