Glass

A folded candle holder -- iridescent.   Vaguely vegetal.  A taste of asparagus.  What's vegetal in a poem?

    Distinct mutterings on the edge of the forest.
    Circumstantial evidence on the bedroom floor.
    Remains of a plate of artichokes.
    The chimes sounded too loudly for the girls not to hear.
