Familiar. What makes as poem familiar?

Connection to the oral tradition.
Satisfied expectation.

A pen which smooth in the hand & kind.
The paring with paper. Tactile.

Of food, carrots & string beans. Corn & tomatoes. Basil, of course. Pepper, always.

  1. speaking of items left off the list
and the wind that blows the fence down
also of a leather seat out in the sun
and a cold counter of marble under the cheese

so many ways to dream of a dandy ending
wiggly stories thrown forth on a stroll
geese that fly somewhere in winter
a town you read about, your pictures of it
